Pre-K Tips & Belts

Tips:

Tips are awarded based on class attendance, participation and positive behavior:

  • Students attending one class each week can earn tips every three classes attended

  • Students attending two or three classes each week can earn tips every four classes attended

Belts:

Belts are awarded after students have earned all seven tips:

  • White belts are generally awarded after a student’s second class, depending on attention

  • Students attending one class each week can earn their next belt on the third class after earning their seventh tip

  • Students attending two or three classes each week can earn their next belt on the fourth class after earning their seventh tip

Youth classes:

Graduating to the youth program is based on age and maturity level.  Kindergarten is a good grade level, with age being around 5.5 years old.  Little Mojo students are introduced to many of the techniques taught to the youth class.  To earn tips and belts in the youth classes, students are expected to learn and remember drills and forms that incorporate the many techniques and stances introduced in the Little Mojo curriculum.  Upon entering the youth class, Little Mojo students will retain their belts.  They will then start earning tips based on the youth program requirements.
