The classes taught at MCDS are the same as my traditional classes at the dojo. The first requirement for beginning students is to memorize and recite the Student Creed. All of my students have done this over the past nine years, beginning with my K students, who aren't able to read it on their own. Students typically take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to learn it. Once the first student does it, the confidence level of all students goes up and each class celebrates the students who have earned their white belts.
Many of the MCDS students have not maintained their training over the summer. It is normal if your child is feeling that they have forgotten a lot and may feel too embarrassed to rejoin the karate class. Please let them know that they are not alone :). The fall session will start out bringing everyone back up to speed.

The Fall Session 2008 (begins Sept 29th)
- K Beginners - Mon/Thurs 2-3pm
- Additional fees:
- Uniform - $40 (I will measure your child at our first class. Please send check payable to MOJO DOJO with your child)
- (Future) Yellow belt - $25 (Students may start earning yellow belts after January)
- Yellow/Orange - Tues/Fri 3-4pm
- Additional fees
- Early Fall session starts 9/16 - $70 Please send check to MCDS with memo for Early Fall ASAP Karate. Email Hanshi James, transportation and PM. Notification and payment by 9/10/08.
- Need a new Uniform? - $40 (I will measure your child at our first class. Please send check payable to MOJO DOJO with your child)
- (Future) Orange belt - $30
- (Future) Green belt - $35
- Green & higher - Mon/Thurs 3-4pm
